How much does it cost to join Lifestyle Mate?
The standard payment plans are:
- Monthly £12 per month
- Quarterly offer £10 per month (charged at £30 every 3 months)
What meal plans are available? There is a variety of meal plans to choose from, low cal, low carb, low GI, low fat and executive plan to mention just a few.
Where do I find information about the food plan I would like to follow? There is an explanation of all our food plans in the food plans section.
Do I have to complete my food diary every day? No, you can do several days at once if you wish. Your account will have automatically saved from when you were last logged in.
How often should I weigh in? We recommend you weigh in on a weekly basis at the same time on the same day. This will make your readings more accurate.
How do I make changes to my diaries? You can make a number of ways, either by adding food and activity from our extensive databases or adding your own. Once food and activity is in your diary you can easily amend or delete it.
How much time will I need to spend on using the website each day? You can spend as much time or as little time as you like, it is up to you. The site has been designed to fit around you, and not you having to fit around the website.
Do I need to exercise? For a good all round balanced lifestyle you should be keeping active by exercising plus monitoring your calorie intake. Exercise will help towards reducing your calorie level each day.
What does BMI stand for and how does it work? BMI is your Body Mass Index. Your BMI rating will place you within a weight band based on your height and current weight. The weight bands are:
- 19.9 or less - underweight
- 20 - 24.9 - healthy weight range
- 25 - 29.9 - overweight
- 30 - 39.9 - obese
- 40 or more - your health is at risk, seek medical advice
The ideal weight band for everybody is the 'healthy weight range'.
How do I know what my current BMI is? Your BMI is taken from your current weight in kg divided by your height in m2. E.g Weight = 80kg Height = 1.7m x 1.7m = 2.89m2 Your current BMI is 80/2.89 = 27.68
We calculate your BMI progress from this to give you a clear indication where you are within the BMI bands.
What is a safe amount of weight to lose per week? The recommended maximum weight loss per week is 2lbs.
AOL users having problems viewing Lifestyle Mate through an AOL browser?
If you are coming to the Lifestyle Mate website from an AOL browser then you might experience some problems using this site. This is due to the AOL security settings.
There are two things to try that will fix this problem:
Either: If you should wish to use the website through your AOL browser as normal:
- On the toolbar at the top of the screen click on Keywords.
- You will have 3 drop down options, select 'Go to keywords'
- A box will then appear. Type in 'Secure Fix' and then select OK.
- Then you will be informed that settings have changed, please restart AOL.
- Restart AOL for these changes to take place and go back to the Lifestyle Mate homepage and carry on as normal.
Or:
- Start AOL as normal, then minimise your screen and open 'Internet explorer' from your desktop. You can then use the website as normal. (This will still run through your AOL service provider, however internet explorer does not have the same restrictions as AOL).

Is it safe to give my credit card details to Lifestyle Mate?
Yes, Lifestyle Mate uses the Barclays Bank EPDQ system to handle all credit card transaction securely.
Is it possible for anyone else to access my account? No, the password that you set up on registration is unique to you. You are the only person with access to this password. It is your responsibility that this password remains safe and is not passed on to any other person.

Losers League
We have designed a losers league which works like a football league. For fun, you compete on a weekly basis to become the biggest losers of the league.
How many members can you have in a team?
You can have up to 11 people (including the captain).
Does a team have to have 11 people?
No. A team can consist of any number of people up to 11. 11 members (10 plus the captain) is the maximum.
How long is it before a team gets on to the table once it is created?
A team will be entered onto the table the Tuesday after it is created.
